Sculpture and ceramics have become a way for me to describe concepts and define drawings into three-dimensional forms. I draw in ink and pencil to contrast flat surfaces with anthropomorphic forms that I have made in clay. Watercolor enables me to capture the fragility of my subject. My subject matter is based on an intuitive response to objects I encounter on a daily basis, broken egg shells pushed aside on the kitchen counter, or wilted leaves in need of water.

My work examines themes and shapes derived from the natural world. I am concerned with impermanence, precariousness and the opposition of wonder and beauty. I have been an artist for more than thirty years.  My work has been exhibited in both solo and group shows in the US and abroad.

I have studied art at the School of Visual Arts,

the New York Studio School, the Arts Students League NYC, and at The Greenwich House Pottery, all in New York City.
